Copa Libertadores (likely sic) QFs was fairly predictable. Olimpia didn't even try to score in Fluminense but tried to bore the Brazilian side to death in the away leg as they did Flamengo. Flu were able to keep their wnergy up enough to win 2-0. Olimpia did put 3 past Flamengo in Paraguay so it's not insurmountable, but that second goal was huge.
Racing outplayed Boca Jrs away but it was a 0-0 bore draw. Colombian champa Deportivo Pereira had a shocker at home as tournament favourites Palmer's put 4 past them, 3 directly from defensive errors. Bolivian team Bolivar weren't terrible at home against Internacional, but lost 1-0 and have it all to do in the away leg.
Sudamericana was a bit better. America continued their hellish season falling 0-3 behind Fortsleza at home in front of a pitiful crowd, but sent them home happier after a late goal. Ecuadorian club LDA Quito made me happy with a giant killing 2-1 home win over Sao Paulo, but should have been more convincing. Missed some chances in the second half and led 2-0 before Lucas's Moura scored a late goal that felt absolutely crucial.
Botafogo threw away a first leg advantage missing several chances and then letting in Defensa y Justicia for a late equaliser. 1-1 is not where I'd want to be playing away in Argentina in the second leg. The other Brazil/ Argentina skirmish is well poised with Corinthians defeating Estudiantes 1-0 at home.
And Familicao played out a bore draw 0-0 with Moreirense at home in the first poor game of the Primeira Liga season.

Real score a last-minute goal to beat Getafe 2-1, and it's Bellingham again.

Copa Libertadores went as expected with Fluminense pounding Olimpia 3-1 away and Internacional defeating Bolivar 2-0 at home. Palmeiras took it easy and went through courtesy of a 0-0 draw. Racing again outplayed Boca Jrs buy lost in a shoot out.
Sudamericana had some more thrills. 0-1 down Estudiantes dominated at home against Corinthians but hit the cross bar 4 times. It went to a shoot out where, fittingly, Estudiantes hit the cross bar on the decisive penalty. Defensa defeated Brazilian Serie A leaders Botafogo 2-1 (3-2 on aggregate) to advance in an excellent tie. Quito v Sao Paolo also went to penalties with the Ecuadorians going through and America remain woeful losing 2-1 away to Fortaleza to crash out 5-2 on aggregate.
Semi finals: Libertadores: Boca Jrs (Arg) v Palmeiras (Bra) Fluminense (Bra) v Internacional (Bra) Sudamericana Corinthians (Bra) v Fortaleza (Bra) Defensa y Justicia (Arg) v LDU Quito (Ecu)

PSG continued their patchy start in Ligue One with a home loss to Nice. FC Porto got a lucky 1-0 win in Estoril. Let's just say if they'd had the ref from the Old Firm Derby that goal would have been disallowed due to a foul in the lead up.

Fluminense through to the final of the Copa Libertadores in a dramatic tie. First leg Fluminense were at home and went down a man up 1-0. Internacional then scored 2 goals with Fluminense somehow finding an equaliser late. In the 2nd leg Inter goaled in the 9th minute and led until Fluminense equalised in the 81st minute and then got the winner in the 87th.
Palmeiras host Boca Jrs today with the aggregate 0-0.
In the Sudamericana Ecuadorian team LDU Quito will play Fortaleza. Both teams were dominant at home and broke even on the away leg meaning neither tie reached any great heights.

Boca Juniors beats Palmeiras from São Paulo on penalties and advance to their umpteenth Libertadores final, against Fluminense from Rio who will be playing in front of the home crowd at the Maracanã.
Fluminense, probably the smallest of the four big clubs from Rio, will be playing their second final and hoping for a better result than what they got last time around.

Came from nowhere in both legs of their semi.

Took me a few days to get around to it by Ecuadorian side Quito won a thrilling penalty shoot out to win the Sudamericana Final over Fluminense. The Brazilians scored first in the game proper before conceding am equaliser almost immediately and then appeared to be in control for much of the shoot out but Quito keeper Alexander Dominguez saved the 3rd, 5th and 6th attempts to give his team a 4-3 win. Only the second time a team from Ecuado's Serie A has won a continental title.

Indeed. No idea why I wrote Fluminense, who I am hoping will defeat Boca Jrs this weekend. Dominguez was playing in a baseball cap. That looked weird.
