Basically as far as I know, there's only two songs that deal with this at all.
It goes without saying they are both from the 80's. Since acid rain isn't talked about since that decade that much. If at all. And I don't even know what the heck it actually is.
Does anyone care to know what two bands they are?

'Black Planet' - Sisters of Mercy, from the album 'First And Last And Always'?
I remember buying it on cassette; not a throwaway track on it. 'Nine While Nine', 'Walk Away', 'Some Kind of Stranger'... the list goes on.

It was caused by sulfur dioxide emissions from industry, which combined with water in the atmosphere to form sulfuric acid. However, the presence of sulfuric and nitric acids in precipitation throughout these regions has decreased tremendously due to reductions in emissions.
Acid rain is now largely a thing of the past in Europe and North America, although it remains a problem elsewhere, particularly in Asia. Canadian scientist John Smol, who was a young researcher back in the 1980s, says that in many ways acid rain was a “success story”, showing that countries can come together and deal with an international problem.
