You studied German at school? I mean Yggdrasil I can understand because that was during WW2. Yes, for one year in 4th form. Age 15. What reason could there possibly be in learning German? Reading the covers of hairy porn vhs tapes? Ok, but what else?

It was a toss-up between German, art and Greek. I couldn't draw to save my life and Greek wasn't appealing. As the great Aristotle once said: "Ezoyi angoori inne necce tepodilodo." "Can I just put things into perspective for a second? When I first caught Gerald, he was completely wild." "Wild? I was absolutely livid!" Name the show!

We had French, Italian and Mandarin to choose from and I chose Mandarin.

And nobody cares about Italian and you learned mandarin in preparation for your future as a vassal state bowing to chinee overlords. So you can't name the show. Noted.

To be fair, they don't show many TV shows from 4th century BC Greek TV on the Strine telly.
I like Aristole. Good family man and one who knew how to find a soft billet

Ha! That is one of the phrases I remember from the German text book we used at school. "Was [is playing]?" "Ein krimi." "Das ist doch Blödsinn!" You studied German at school? I mean Yggdrasil I can understand because that was during WW2. I'm not that old, perhaps you mean Mowlick?, he probably claims to have been alive in the 100 year war.

Didn't you do it? we did German and French for a couple of years and then you dropped one of them to concentrate on the other depending on which one you were best with. Nearly everyone stuck with French. German is rather a guttural "ugly" sounding language and difficult to get to grips with as a learner as opposed to French.
