I don't know. There was never anything about her launching his career, and as far as I know she was never any sort of big time producer with the power to do that. They just met in 1995 on the set of an Australian TV show they were both acting in, but Jackman's career catapulted in 2000 on its own as Wolverine in X-Men, all of it being his own success while she was nothing on the Hollywood radar compared to him, yet he stayed with her ever since. I think she meant in terms of her being with him before he was famous, not that she managed his career or anything. Some people value that kind of loyalty more than anything. Like Kobe’s wife, who’d he’d been with since high school. I imagine for a lot of famous people, meeting new friends/SO’s must be difficult in terms of “are they here because they genuinely like me or because I’m famous?”. Then there are others, like Leo, who don’t give a shit. Yeah I'm talking about when they met on the set of that Australian TV show in '95 before anyone knew who he was. Apparently she's asking if the reason they stayed together as long as they did was due to a business arrangement, but business-wise it didn't seem to be the case there was ever anything about her to help get his foot in the door when they met nor to help his career explode later like it did for the 27 years that followed, assuming the question here is why he, a good-looking big time Hollywood star who could've had anyone he wanted, stayed with this woman 13 years his senior for that long. I'm saying it seemed like she was just someone he genuinely liked and fell in love with and stayed with simply because that was his true love.

Or, their business arrangement was her being his beard, as has been mentioned. Which is both unlikely and likely. Likely because altho I’m loathe to admit, once finding out an actor/actress is gay, it just makes it one step harder to accept them in a hetero role. Hollywood is chock full of stories of gay men with women in order to not hurt their images. Unlikely because if they married before he became famous (tho I have no idea if, before X-Men, he was a huge star in Australia, which would put this in the likely column) then there was no need for him to pretend to be hetero.

You won’t get tens of millions to play a lead in a $250 million dollar action sci-fi film if you’re gay. That’s the truth. It’s probably why Will Smith is in the closet IMO. Hugh is a strange case. He loves to perform in musical theatre, married a woman much older and homelier than himself and there have been some rumours (not substantial) of a closeness he has with his male personal trainer or something. Plus his breakthrough was in a Bryan Singer film who has allegedly employed the casting couch. So he pings a little. Then again he did partner with his wife before he really hit the big time. I guess it’s possible that he (and she) saw his potential and entered into an arrangement. It may indeed be the case that he is bisexual as well.

iirc, jimmywynn believes he might play both sides of the field. (i could be rememebering incorrectly tho, won't be the first time!) Both sides? You mean he likes women as well? Yeah, I don't think he's straight.

Banging a new twenty-something hottie every week gets old after awhile.... Lol like you have experience!! I mean just think about it. Eventually it will all look the same and he'll want a connection as he gets older. Or not, he could definitely afford it and be a perma-bachelor up to a point if he has a budget and invests smartly

Keeley Shay Smith was a gorgeous woman. She’s still attractive. Seems like Brosnan is a good man. Took the death of his wife hard, then found a love that’s weathered storms. When he could’ve EASILY taken the famous guy/young hottie of the week route. Banging a new twenty-something hottie every week gets old after awhile.... There’s a lot of levels in between his wife and twenty somethings. Like a hot forty year old. If he’s straight then I reckon that will be where he ends up. And Deborah Lee Furness looks like the kind who would end up with a younger black dude like yourself LOL

I think it's excellent how Airplane / Police Squad / Naked Gun took serious actors and turned them into excellent comedians by giving them ridiculous dialogue but asking them to deliver it seriously. I remember reading something about the writers saying they rejected the idea of getting comedians to do it - they insisted on serious actors, and it was all the better for it.

That's why those movies are legendary and unmatchable comedy masterpieces.
I'm always posting The Naked Gun and Airplane videos on my Facebook and Instagram stories! Everyone just laughs out loud at them!
