I am sure they gave that to me when I was in the navy and I think it might be beginning to work

Motorbikes are for people who can't afford cars. BMW's are for people who can't drive cars. Pfft, my 328 Sports was hot shit with rock hard suspension. Got it up to 138 mph on the M25 one night at 2am (empty road) coming home from Gravesend - been on a date, actually. I got a bit concerned so slowed it right down and within about 4 minutes there was a police car right behind me. Cameras everywhere. This was about 18 years ago. That was one hell of a car. Looked stunning as well. Medium blue exterior with saffron yellow leather seats. Beautiful.

My point is that are horribly overpriced and bought for the Marque only, I test drove a 5 series around the mid 00's and was surprised at how bad they were. When you hit the 7 series the luxury and performance kicks in, but anything below that pales in comparison to the equivalent from Audi and even Ford, whose RS Focus (top speed 165 mph) would piss all over the same price range from BMW. Throw in the ridiculously overpriced parts and you can see why people tend to not hang on to them for long.

Oh please - my Dad ran an Audi dealership in the 70s and 80s (in Oman) and they were really good then - luxury cars - but they went right downhill in the 90s.
My BMW was from 1996 and it was excellent. Zero problems till it hit about 14 years old when the air conditioning started to get a bit weak. It still moved like shit, though.
And Ford? You probably liked the Suburus - cheap and fast, but no style.

My mum said I was a very good looking lad, I'll have you know and my mum never told a lie. I've heard this line from a Scot, never stateside. Must be at Bri'ish thing.
