When fans ruin a football club: No. 1 - O. Marseille

It was the case with Richmond FC in the AFL for years until they got a strong football manager in Brendan Gale and a President in Peggy O'Neil who ignored the bullshit.

My NRL club St George Illawarra is another one that can't get out of its own way. We've gone from being a big club to a small club with a big fan base and most fans are in denial over this and want to sack the coach after 2 losses every year. Last year they outdid themselves and called for the coach to be sacked after 1 win and holding our own for 75% of a tough away game in Brisbane. The board gives in immediately and told the coach he would need to reapply for his job. In reality, the club would fit better in a 2nd division at the moment if we had a football pyramid in Rugby League.
