Well damn, clothes and bags and shoes are fun. Jewelry too. You don't have to diet or have plastic surgery to buy yourself those. Haven't you bought yourself a watch you like? See you just proved my point. I have a watch for utilitarian purposes only. I don’t particularly care about what brand it is. For me fun are electronics. I buy clothes from Target for Christ’s sake. The only clothes that are “fun” for me are movie and rock’n’roll T-shirts I can wear around the house or in the summer. Okay. But nobody ended up looking like a torturous failed science experiment buying herself cool clothes and boots, hun. |

I don’t frequent strip clubs. In fact, before this past summer I hadn’t been to one since I moved back to freezing Illinois. They’re fun though, but expensive. It was a nice place to escape a divorce headache. Yeah sure they’re exploitative, but you could make that case about many, many things. No one forces the girls there to dance and at least they’re regulated in the US unlike in places like Mexico where they function as brothels, too. Yeah, I was gonna mention how it's a rare few strip clubs in the US that aren't paths to drug dependency and prostitution but I deleted that part 'cause someone said I was moralizing. Why'd you move back to Ill if you don't like the freezing cold? Ex get the whole state in the divorce? Ayyyy, ohhhh. Sorry. Well you were coming off like a moralist… Oh according to that lady she said that few of them are hookers at her place. But the drugs thing is sadly true. It’s too risky to do drugs these days with fentanyl in everything. China is to blame for that. They keep sending it to Mexico. No we split the house by selling it. I gave her more so she could buy herself a new one while I’m renting. I was going to buy but decided not to at this point. I don’t know if you have gone through a divorce but the financial elements certainly wasn’t the biggest headache, although lawyers rape you in fees, it’s having young kids together. I warned her divorce would affect them but she didn’t give a shit and said they’d get over it. Her exact words. Cold, cruel, and selfish. I’m already seeing the fallout affect them in negative ways. That for me is the biggest stressor. |

That for me is the biggest stressor. I'm so sorry. I hope you get to spend a good amount of time with your kids, obviously it won't be as much as if she'd stayed with you for their sake. Old-fashioned or not, I'm really for that if the kids are young. Your situation really blows; narcissists are the absolute worst. So you know the things... drugs, hooking. I'm always gonna push people to stop supporting a male ownership dominated industry that winds women up like Jennifer Connelly at the end of Requiem for a Dream. I'm not particularly moralistic but that scene is bad news bears. |

woman gets old and puts on weight, world keeps turning. Maybe your world does. But what her husband did to her is horrible. No idea what that was and don't care about celebrities any more than anyone else. Just think that describing the normal aging process as being "horrid" is silly, it's the obsessive trying to turn back time with surgery and the like is "horrible" and puts unrealistic pressure on normal people. |
