No, I don't think that's your intent. But isn't that what happens when we say certain people's natural reactions cannot be filmed? I didn’t say that either.

Probably not. The uploader is a cunt but you won’t go to hell. Why is the uploader a cunt? That's how she expresses herself. Are you saying that folks of her "ilk" should not be heard?
I'm also not quite sure which group of which she is part.
If she has a disability and that is how she expresses herself, are you saying she cannot be heard?
She seemed like she wanted to get a righteous point across. Kudos to her.
More like not listened to.

I think the girl has Downs, so she doesn't have the mental capacity of a normal girl her age. If she needs to post her anger on the internet, that's her and her mother's business. If this was a five-year-old, it might by cute because we know they will grow out of it. She's stuck like that.

More like not listened to. Personally, I thought it was kinda cute. And they're not listened to because of their disability. So why not show them as normal people with emotions who have a voice? I just see nothing wrong with posting that. That's how she talks and that doesn't make her a lesser human being.

I would not watch a normal person do that either. I daresay OP is making fun of her as a freak, why else post it here?

It's a little girl and that's the way she talks and it's funny. I see no problem with it.

It looks like the uploader found the clip (probably from a TV documentary) on the internet, added his mocking take and put it on YouTube. There are many people with disabilities making videos about their lives but my annoyance at the YouTuber isn’t about that. Of course people will laugh, that’s part of life, but this is like following someone with a disability and aping how they walk and talk.

Just for the record, the uploader's mocking at the end wasn't clever and I ignored that. I barely even caught it. But I saw no problem laughing at the little girl.

So you do think that's funny, like the OP does, which is what is being debated here, not whether it should have been filmed and/or uploaded? Some people laugh at the way certain effeminate gay men talk and act. Do you think that's funny?

I think it's cute because she's so self-righteously angry. And perhaps her condition highlights that. But it's funny. I'm not laughing at her condition.
I just ignore the man mocking her at the end. That was not funny.
It boils down to the question, do we treat the disabled as "special"? Or do we hold them to the standards we hold everyone? I say hold them to the same standards.
Yes, effeminate gay men can be hilarious. I laugh at them.

Okay, at least you took my question sincerely and answered it honestly. That tells me your reaction to and analysis of the video is much more substantive than what was originally intended in this thread.

But I do not like that all gay men in mainstream media are portrayed as caricatures though. For example, the two gay males on Will & Grace. It's offensive that they always camp us up as buffoons.
This is offensive:

Okay, that's fair. I guess the same can be said for parodies versus caricatures of all groups. I wonder where the original post in this thread comes in, whether the original video itself, the intent of the original uploader, and the intent of this thread.

A parody of a stereotype is fine. But for the first popular sitcom about gay males to be a stereotype? Not fine.

That person is free to laugh at people and I’m free to criticise. And the person who uploaded the video to YouTube is a cunt.
