"Mate" is good for me. Don't care for the variations. I suppose I'm most familiar with my nickname or "Dad". Ok Dad. Go to your room!

I use mate and pal and dude and man. ‘Matey’ is probably to be used to a toddler like Power Ranger . I also use ‘sir’ to people I don’t know like cashiers but there’s always someone who says ‘you don’t need to call me sir’ and I’m like, ‘ok, asshole’. Actually I don’t say asshole, but I use sir because I have standards, not because I think you’re important. Then where does Skywalker come from? I have the nickname Harry Salsamix.
However, since I love Star Wars so much I have the Harry Skywalker nickname as well.

Right, and you like to play Star Wars games. But many of them are difficult, and I couldn’t imagine that you’d have the ability to do well in them.

Yet you on the other hand aren't bright enough to play any relevant game at all.

I’m not saying that you aren’t. I’m just saying that there are Dora the Explorer games and others that are more at your level.

Not particularly. But if it's a term of endearment people use, I'm not opposed. I'd rather have somebody who even considers calling me one of those than have nobody at all to push that button. I do say buddy ironically sometimes, and in comical fashion. Like if an elevator is taking a long time I'll say COME ON, BUDDY!
I'm too literal for most of these words though. Like to me mate is half of a sexual coupling. When people say hey mate I'm hearing hey sex friend! But like I said, I'm fine with being called these terms and they make me feel connected. I just have no knack for using them myself.
