Gareth Barry made the most league appearances. Doesn't mean he was one of the greats. Matthew Briggs made his debut at the earliest age in 2007. Haven't much since. Craig Bellamy has scored more goals for different clubs than anyone else. Not a great striker. And so on. Jamie Vardy is 31, his best years behind him. He had two decent seasons, nothing more. "A fluke stat that only a Yank would take seriously." Why is it a fluke and would only a "Yank" (AMERICAN) take it seriously? "Jamie Vardy is 31, his best years behind him. He had two decent seasons, nothing more." I'd say his 2015-2016 season was better than "decent". Leicester City won the Premier League.  |

And Leeds won it in 92. They weren't especially good either. A team needs to do it consistently to be great. So does a player. |
