Christmas dinner arrangements with my family was the straw that broke the camel’s back for my divorce. Holidays drive some people nuts. Glad I still have mine intact.

Sorry for what's coming up... :'( I have or had two friends whose birthday fall on that date, although one is no longer with us. My Mum died on June 20. Thanks. 🫂 My grandmother and great grandmother both died on Dec 23rd (years apart) of ovarian cancer. My mom died on Dec 8th, like I said. So I should feel easy for 11 months out of the year. This month is when I need to be careful. Wow, June 20th is my birthday. 😢 I'm sorry you've had so many losses so close to the holidays. The first week of September is like that for me. Did your mom like Hanukkah?

I’m doing ok, thanks. Will prob visit the cemetery sometime this month. Couldn’t do it last year with my spinal infection/fractures. Yay, you won’t hate me this month!!! Lol All bets are off New Year’s Day. 😘 How is your dad doing Foxy? He’s doing ok for 88 <knock on wood>. Thanks for asking!

No, what has me stressed out and deeply depressed right now is professional sports namely the Mariners and Seahawks. Jerry Dipoto is pond scum. He has broken my heart.

NO. Cos I hate everyone anyway so don't have to bother with it. Are you being real, or sarcastic, thor? Bit of both. I'm not an overly sociable kinda guy. I'll see friends and family, but I'm not one for getting overly excited about it.

Did your mom like Hanukkah? Pretty much the week after thanksgiving through Christmas sucks every year. But it’s ok, I try not to wallow in it all. What’s weird is that in 2016, my mom had seen this really comfy pair of pants on QVC and ordered it for me. So 2 weeks before Hanukkah (which changes every year), she gave them to me. It was just a couple of days later that she fell into a coma and almost 2 weeks later died, after we took her off life support. Had she waited, I’d prob never know it was meant for me. They’re very comfy, I’m wearing them now, and wear them whenever we visit where she’s interred. Yeesh, 6 years later and I’m still going on about this. Something you never get over, but it does get easier with time. How’s your mom doing? I know how grateful you are to have her with you, well beyond the estimated time table <knock on wood you get at least next year’s Christmas with her>. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

She's not too worried about it, but with her I worry about everything. No, you never do get over it, just learn to live with it. I never know what kind of day I'm going to have with my father, and he's been dead a quarter century now.

But if she’s anything like you, and from the sounds of it she is, then she’s 1 tough lady. A bad-ass. A superwoman. 😊 I worry about my dad 24/7. We can’t help it. Wow, you were pretty young when you lost your dad, sorry to hear that. 😞 The 1 thing I’m grateful for is having had my mom for 48 1/2 years. Sounds like you were in your early 20’s?

Yeah, I hate to be a grinch, but I'm over it this year. 12/26 can't get here fast enough. Nope. Not at all. If you are, too bad so sad. Karma.

I'm not stressed anymore. Work was a huge holiday stress for me. Organizing parties for employees, seeing 90% of my people putting in for vacation on the last week of the year and looking forward to 75% of those bellyaching because they won't get it. I quit worrying about presents, what you get from me is what you get. We don't decorate anymore, too much work.
I am thoroughly sick and tired of seeing Christmas related stuff as I've been seeing it since Halloween. One more of the phone company ads with the carolers will make me scream

It's as stressful as you choose to make it.
