Not good, just passable. No better. No worse. I liked it because the two villains were great especially when together, Tony actually had a character arc seperate to yet consistent with the first film, the plot concerning the ownership of the tech was interesting and essential to the ongoing lore of Iron Man and the fight scenes were well thought out. Iron Man 3 got none of this right and I consider it to be an abomination. Rockwell was great. Wasted but great. Tbh with exception of the Original Iron Man, Winter Soldier, Infinity War and Endgame I think all the Marvel films were average. I'm probably being a bit unfair to Guardians and somewhat simplistic with directors like Joe Johnson, Kenneth Branagh and Shane Black clearly hired to bring a particular tone to their respective films and doing so, I think it's an accurate appraisal. But who's ever going to sit through a Joe Johnson, Kenneth Branagh or Shane Black marathon?

If you want to call him a reject from Anchorman I guess I want more Will Ferrell in my Marvel films...an apparently more Sam Rockwell in my Anchorman movies.
