Oh I can identify the reason. It's the Rams and it's not 1999. You know it's just a matter of time until Vince Ferragamo throws an interception, Jim Everett gets sacked but nobody touched him, Bettis gets sent to Pittsburgh, Adam Vinitieri kicks a last second field goal, Jeff Fisher refuses to go 9-7 again so he goes 6-10. Bend over, it's the Rams. That's fair, actually. Thanks. Merry Christmas.

My team, the Rams, had a very ugly setback against da Bearz Sunday, but I am still optimistic they will secure home field advantage/top seed in the NFC. I like a Rams/Pats rematch of XXXVI for Superbowl LIII. We shall see. Called it, matchup wise.

It's so weird, the Pats are still the same old Pats, the Rams are top to bottom different. Well, almost the same. No Adam Vinatieri, who was one of my particular nightmares from that SB. He was at least as big a story as Brady going into that game, what with his multi-game winner perfection in blizzard conditions during the playoffs. After the Rams tied it inside the 2:00, I knew there was too much time and too much Vinatieri. But you're right, it is an amazing thing to look back on that as the start of the Belichick/Brady dynasty and realize how much change and desolation the Rams went through in the interim.
