The US Senate does not have power over the State Supreme Courts. Yeah, they do. The 14th Amendment is in the federal constitution. The Federal government has supremacy over the states when it comes to the federal constitution. The 14th Amendment doesn't say the Senate has power over the State Supreme Courts. |

Thanks for providing a link that backs up what I said. States do not have the right to overturn the federal government's rulings. The senate had the constitutional power to rule on insurrection, and they acquitted. The conflicting state ruling is therefore invalid. |

I'm not confused. And never have been. On the other hand, you've never understood. And still don't. I understand. You have been making your viewpoint clear for a while now movieliker. "Donald Trump incited an insurrection. He is an insurrectionist. A criminal. He should be excluded from the ballot due to the 14th Amendment." There is nothing anyone can say that will make you budge an inch from those absolute statements. Trying to debate you is a waste of time. Here is my position: "Donald Trump did not incite an insurrection. He is not an insurrectionist. There was no insurrection. He is not a criminal. He should be included on the ballot." SCOTUS will hear the case soon. They will decide if he can or cannot be excluded. I am cautiously optimistic that they will make the correct decision and allow voters to decide who will be the next President. MAGA What do you think of the people arrested and convicted for the Jan 6th attack? They were Antifa? They were members of a peaceful tour of the Capitol?
