Why do mountain climbers climb mountains? Are there valuable resources just waiting for them when they summit? If our souls are made of Dark Matter (the most valuable substance in the Universe), maybe they want those. That's a very big if considering dark matter is itself hypothetical. More than likely, there are no aliens. |

However, I do think that nonhuman entities exist, and I think they've been on earth for a long time meddling in human affairs. |

This is a teaching moment. When the alien overlords with superior brain and fire power show up to utterly annihilate us, we can save ourselves by claiming ourselves transaliens. If we identify, you must not liquify. Why would any aliens come to annihilate us?

Except for a planet that they might like. First off this planet may be perfect for us, that does not make it ideal or even hospitable to whatever aliens would come here. Is oxygen for example poison to them, or life giving?
Second it would be easier to terraform a planet to their specifications rather than to come here.

Anybody coming here must be able to travel faster than light. And anybody travelling faster than light needs to be able to withstand faster than light collisions. Even a pebble colliding with anything near those speed would cause damage greater than any nuclear weapons we have. |
