There is Trump Derangement Syndrome, and that's the only thing that actually keeps Trump afloat, ironically. People are more afraid of dogs frothing at the mouth than they are of wolves.
The people with TDS make every attempt to scare and intimidate and threaten and divide and most of all to dehumanize people, and then wonder why it pushes people away. Trump would disappear from the polls in an instant if not for the radical left.
