I don't care about your stinking rules. Marvin made Donovan's Reef and The Man who shot Liberty Valance.

I nominate The Duel at Silver Creek (1952), only because it's the shortest Lee Marvin film I could find, coming in at just 77 minutes. ![](https://onceuponatimeinawestern.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Lee-Marvin-as-Tinhorn-Burgess-one-of-the-men-aligned-with-Rob-Lacy-in-The-Duel-at-Silver-Creek-1952.jpg)

So far, there is only one qualified nominee: The Caine Mutiny Which is pretty funny because it is an early film appearance and he is in a very few scenes as a mostly comic relief character. He did get a credit. He plays "Meatball". ![](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Eol2pW1M7jM/XZvV97J2huI/AAAAAAAAsuM/aKxrLoLAvQYArDHMIF6gjxrsjHoMPrJowCPcBGAYYCw/w1200-h630-p-k-no-nu/Lee%2BMarvin%2Band%2BClaude%2BAkins%2Bin%2BThe%2BCaine%2BMutiny%2B%25281954%2529.jpg)

Cat Ballou.
Don't disqualify it just because I don't know how to get a still or gdf thing. I do well enough to get you tube videos. That's age discrimination.

Included among the American Film Institute's 2001 list of 400 movies nominated for the top 100 Most Heart-Pounding American Movies.
