Oh totally. I love how it's so over-the-top manly but from a craft point-of-view, it is very well constructed to be a pure popcorn blockbuster rollercoaster ride. Nothing more, but certainly nothing less. If I was to pick a guilty pleasure, it'd probably be SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT... and for similar reasons. It's a rollercoaster ride. Then it’s not real cinema, according to Martin Scorsese. :P

I may not know cinema, but I know what I like. Besides, according to Martin Scorsese, exactly what is "real cinema"?

I've never seen Debbie Do Dallas. What have you seen Debbie Do? I have met three Deborahs in my life and all three had large breasts. What shall we conclude from this?

SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND MIDNIGHT EXPRESS SCARFACE (1983) DOCTOR ZHIVAGO (1965) I wonder if any of those count as real cinema...?

Something not only boring, but artsy and pretentious (and often incomprehensible to all but a select few). For the most part, I don't care for "cinema"--give me movies every time!

You finally got around to watching WHERE THE LILIES BLOOM, but you mistook Harry Dean Stanton for Steve Buscemi?
