People often thought I was a goth and I had goth, punk and metal friends, but I was very in to gothic punk bands like the Damned and Siouxsie And The Banshees, more so than bands like Sisters Of Mercy and Fields Of The Nephilim (though I liked them too).
My girlfriend at uni. was a goth. Did you like This Mortal Coil?
I did. This was the 4AD collective, made up of artists on that record label. I'm actually hoping to post here about 4AD soon as it's my favourite record label, with some of my all-time favourite bands. My joint favourite bands of all time, bar none, are sister bands Throwing Muses and Pixies who contributed to the creative project that was This Mortal Coil.
My first "intimate" girlfriend also introduced me to New Model Army, making me a fan for life.

Having somehow got lucky and lost my virginity in a fleeting haze, my first "getting it on" album, if I could call it that, turned out to be 'Blonder And Blonder' (1995) by The Muffs/.

I never really had a label. I thought you said you were a poshboy? That might have been a remark about being working class but not having a strong cockney accent.

I cheated with Google but I'm probably wrong anyway. Itchycoo Park?
Either that or MacArthur Park.

Hippie / Beatnik. I wanted to be Neal Cassady or Captain America, but I was more Jack Kerouac light.

... in places, small faces unbound Ronnie Lane said the park was Little Ilford Park which is just around the corner while Steve Marriott said it was Valentines Park which is a half hour’s walk away.
