I think it's pretty obvious that he's going for a parallel with the Confederate flag. Give this man a Kewpie doll! I'd prefer a cigar.

I think it’s the English flag they call racist. The St Georges flag.

I didn't even know the Union Jack was controversial. The English flag is the one that’s controversial in the UK.

I didn't even know the Union Jack was controversial. The English flag is the one that’s controversial in the UK. The Swedish flag is controversial in Sweden too. When I grew up, simply saying that you loved Sweden was Nazism.

I think it’s the English flag they call racist. The St Georges flag. IIRC, that flag was incorporated into the Union Jack a long time ago.

It represents all that is Anglo Saxon. White must not prevail.
Well, we could just argue previous eras of oppression.
But then, wouldn't we also need to insist any visual representations of the Ottomans be eliminated, as well?

Again, what about it? What in their history makes the flag controversial? Also, what parallel are you going for? I think it's pretty obvious that he's going for a parallel with the Confederate flag.
THAT is what brought it up. I saw a few people wearing patches from some motorcycle club that must be located in the U.P.?
The Rebels?

UK can keep its flag, Oz and NZ need to change theirs. Canada was smart to use a maple leaf as their national symbol.

I didn't even know the Union Jack was controversial. The English flag is the one that’s controversial in the UK. In line with current thinking, everything associated with Anglo-Saxon culture is demonised.

IIRC, that flag was incorporated into the Union Jack a long time ago. Not really. It still represents England. The Union Flag represents the United Kingdom. I don't think you know what I mean. The flag of England is present in the Union flag. If you take out the blue and the diagonal red from the Union flag, you're left with that. So even if you get rid of the English flag altogether it's still incorporated into the Union flag.
