Define the end? Where is it? Whose lives? Define the end: When someone stops breathing and stars rotting. Where is it: Wherever you are when you stop breathing and start rotting. Whose lives: Those who stop breathing and start rotting. The end of what, are you referring to? Being human? Why is that the end and where is the end? Where is the start? Pinpoint it? For who or whom is it the end?

When someone dies you usually don't see or hear from them again. That doesn’t explain the end. Your point seems very limiting. Why does that mean it’s the end for what you perceive as “them”?

That's because they're in a different realm. Some people do see their loved ones in spirit. I wonder if they spend much time discussing whether or not we exist. And exactly where is it you exist?

Sometimes, it can be a release of pain and suffering like if a person is really sick. Yes, in that sense it could be seen as a release from the suffering, yet is it the end for for them? Or perhaps it is only what you see as an end for you.

I wonder if they spend much time discussing whether or not we exist. And exactly where is it you exist? Eastern part of Greater London, UK.

I’ve got a funeral this afternoon for my brother and I know I won’t see him again because his life ended when his heart failed. If he lives on somewhere else then I hope he has a better life than he had in this one but I believe this chapter is finished. Unless he’s the new messiah of course.

If you are upset, then that is understandable and any sense of loss and human grief you feel. Humanity is always full of suffering, but if you didn’t want to play along, then you needn’t have posted on this topic due to your current circumstance. A chapter is just a fragment of a story made up of human mind games. The truth is, there is no beginning and there is no end. All of humanity is fleeting. It is only a dream of human life and what is perceived as reality. Beginning and endings are really just as one whole.

The essence of spiritual enlightenment which reaches across many faiths and time, is the realization that The Self, aka I Am, and the Universe are One. As such, self-annihilation is impossible. Humans are great at annihilation of each other, but hold onto the self with pathetic desperation.

The truth is that we don’t really know, there are those who believe in things outside our comprehension (and in many cases will tell us what will happen) and those who don’t. In the end fools exist in both categories.

Because having a living, breathing person in front of you isn't the same as just having memories of them Memories are not real either, they are mind delusion. We may hold onto them for whatever reason, but ultimately that is not living free in the present moment. Death is only used as a point of reference for human end and birth the beginning, but that is only limiting human realm mindset. Sense of self is debilitating.
