Oh, good God. Too many women have come forward about him for the case against him to be pure lies. Sorry to disagree with you, as I do love your avatar and I think the wolf is a beautiful animal. He went after his young employees, too. These women weren’t actresses. A lot of them came forward. Everyone deserves a fair trial, though. The sentencing though was obnoxious, as initially pointed out by his lawyers when first convicted. It was like he was sentenced for crimes that he wasn’t charged with. It was hyped up court of public opinion that marred the Weinstein trial not to mention a movement scapegoating. Weinstein is a creep, but so much of it is allegations only and personal agendas from these women then and now. |

Weinstein had female assistants setting up his victims. Thurman provided that little detail. So they knew what he was doing and worked as accomplices. And in the Lysette Anthony situation, the police were informed and nothing was done-and the media also were silent about it 30 years ago. Unlike with Swaggart etc. Weinstein was protected and A listers like Streep and Hanks were bound to know what was going on, not to mention his close associates like Tarantino who were aloof and smarmy when talking about it. |

Of course they knew. Look how fast his wife left him. I remember when they got married and I thought--wow-he really landed a good-looking wife and then you realize it is an arranged thing. I am sure Mickey Rooney's marriages were the same idea. There's a laughable story that Ava Gardner got a movie contract because she didn't make a fuss about his publicized adultery (if we even believe those stories).
It was a conspiracy. But what I don't understand is why they threw him under the bus--was it due to social media being out of their control, did Weinstein piss off someone, or what? Did they think they could tarnish Trump by it?

A fair reversal. Bringing allegations unrelated to this case is too prejudicial and only serves to inflame a Jury. He should be convicted of the things he is formally charged of and the evidence should be limited to that. He has another trial coming up, too, so I don’t think he’s getting out anytime soon. |
