Nice.... I listened to Current 93 more than just about any other band during the 90s ...Death in June and Sol Invictus too...the three bands sort of went together as the Holy Trinity of Apocalyptic Folk. World Serpent Distribution was putting out the best stuff back in those days. After the 'neofolk' scene exploded in the late 90s and became just another music scene with lots of soundalike bands, I began to lose interest. I still love Tony Wakeford's music though, he seems to have really grown as a composer over the years, and Death In June still puts out an occasional worthwhile album. This old Death in June ditty never fails to move me.

This old Death in June ditty never fails to move me. Yeah, they were the big three, most of the others were from Europe and tended to a more "martial" sound. I have a copy of this which is an interesting although a bit anal read. www.amazon.co.uk/Looking-Europe-History-Neofolk-Paperback/dp/B00JYI5EZU/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=neofolk&qid=1556374647&s=books&sr=1-8There's a matching CD set you can but as well, but it's nothing special. As for Sol Invictus I was a bit disappointed with "Necropolis" the last album. They are indefinite hiatus it seems now as Wakefield as re activated Crisis (without Douglas P)

I haven't heard Necropolis yet. The Crisis reunion seems strangely appropriate. I have that Looking For Europe CD set (but not the book) , it's a bit overwhelming...I was disappointed that Current 93 wasn't on it and some of the track selections are weak.
