The Crusades were organized by western European Christians after centuries of Muslim wars of expansion. Their primary objectives were to stop the expansion of Muslim states, to reclaim for Christianity the Holy Land in the Middle East, and to recapture territories that had formerly been Christian.
Also to protect Christians from conquest, rape and slavery by Muslims. Those little details.

From what I can tell, their legal system is hopelessly and psychopathically misogynist. There was also that woman who was sentenced to 34 years for social media posts. I just retrieved the article to be sure. The initial sentence was six years, but that "increased to a record 34 years earlier this month following her appeal". www.nbcnews.com/news/world/saudi-arabia-woman-34-years-prison-twitter-activity-rcna43472It seems to me like cracking down on dissent by making examples of them. |

Unreal, but also real. |
