Why are the Guardian so obsessed with this posh twat Phoebe Waller-Bridge? I get that she's a woman and meets the identity politics criteria, but isn't she one of the most extraordinarily privileged upper class -- descended form barons and dukes -- women out there? GuardianI wouldn't mind but both shows were shit.

Why would middle class dinner partying Guardian journos with children called Ophelia, Fabian and Milo not like it?

No seriously, why are the Guardian so fucking in love with this woman? What am I missing? What!!! It is? Why are they so fucking keen to praise her? I've never seen the Guardian fawn this much over a person? Does her father own the paper? What the fuck!

You are wondering why someone called Gwilym Mumford who works in media at the Guardian is overly praising someone called Phoebe Waller-Bridge who works in media at the BBC? - both have new age goofball first names - both have middle class (but not too posh) last names - both work in media - both work for organisations where artistic output is core to values, not profit - both are wimmin struggling in a white male dominated world (in their minds) and share the same hardships - both have triumphed despite all the odds It truly is inspiring. Of course once fleabag woman has made a bit of cash, Guardian journalists will round on her as the capitalist traitor she is. "Where did Phoebe whatsit go wrong?" Blah blah blah.

I think both shows have been winning awards all over the place, can't seem to get away from them.

What's it actually about? Is it a chick thing? Sitcom where she breaks the fourth wall and makes snarcky comments to the audience. Not as awful as Mrs. Brown's Boys but certainly not worthy of the Guardian's endless devotion. What I find odd is that they're celebrating one of those most privileged women in the country. Seriously, she's posher than Rees-Mogg. If a man with her background was making television, they'd have a few things to say about it.

Doesn't sound very original. Bet the Guardian would like her to marry Stewart Lee. (Although he is astonishingly talented)

This Bond has been so beset with problems and delays can't see it being anything but an unmitigated disaster. Should have dumped Craig when he made the "wrists" remark and got Elba.
