International football >>>> Club football
Nothing compares to international football. You can have your Manchester Cities and your Liverpools and your Real Madrids and your Barcelonas. I will take Netherlands vs Turkey any day, and I am neither Dutch nor Turkish, nor do I have any particular attachment to either country. But I was on the edge of my seat for the last 30 minutes, transfixed by the drama and by the certainty that millions of people would be wildly celebrating at the end of the day while millions of people in a different country would be dejected.

I don’t get that excited about it I have to say. I envy you!

Turkey should have kept Stefan Kuntz (FC Kaiserslautern) as Trainer! Never heard of him. I liked this coach. I feel bad for Arda Güler, that's all. I did expect that You know the name. Stefan Kuntz was European Champion with Germany in 1996 ( kicked England out ! ;) ) and had a nice career both as player and manager / trainer, also in Turkey (he played for Istanbul and was later trainer for the national team there for a while) de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stefan_Kuntzen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stefan_Kuntz

The man is just pure trash. He has always been like this.
I just don't understand why he hasn't been pulverized by everyone way sooner.

Turkey should have kept Stefan Kuntz (FC Kaiserslautern) as Trainer! That's not a good name in English. I'm sure there was an edited MOTD clip on some comedy show once, something like - "The Germans are really passing the ball around well. Kuntz..."

I felt the Netherlands weren't as good last night as in the previous round, but I'd make them slight favourites against England. Spain-France depends on whether the latter are actually awake or not.
