As a neutral with a slight preference for England, I am happy to see that Spain's vaunted superiority doesn't seem so superior. |

The better team won, but there wasn't much in it. Three good goals, a few more half chances, but as I said to one of my friends it was engrossing rather than action-packed. I have no doubt that Southgate will be crucified in the gutter press, but questions should be asked about his selections, and not just tonight.

I'd echo the sentiments of others here. Absorbing game for the most part with 3 good goals.
Congratulations to Spain, the best team in the tournament overall, now surpassing Germany in Germany to win a record 4th European title - Rodri mentioned what it means to Spain in a post-match interview.
England look set for a bright future with so many talented young players in the squad and I'm sure they'll be a threat at the next major tournament. I'm thankful to Gareth Southgate for all he's done and the way he's conducted himself, not sure who will replace him if he steps down and it's another English manager - have seen calls for Eddie Howe, Aidy Boothroyd, Lee Carsley, or Gary Neville and Phil Neville.

England has such a great group of players yet you guys have a terrible coach who makes aful susbtitutions and can't put the team play like they should.
England should have went to Extra Time!
