Harry Skywalker , merh , This question goes out to those who have seen the movie, but if you haven't I'll hide my question with the spoiler tag. SPOLIERS!!! {Spoiler} In the movie we are told that Deadpool's timeline, Earth 10005, is dying because it lost its anchor. Which is Logan who dies in the movie Logan. Then he sets off to find a replacement. My question is, isn't Deadpool and the Logan that dies set in the same universe? Which also means all the other X-Men are also dead by the time he passes at the end of the 2017 movie Logan, right? Again, if I'm wrong please correct me. Which brings up the biggest question, if they are all dead now how can Colossus for example be alive at the end of the movie when they are in the apartment?
The question comes up because now that we know a Secret Wars movie will hit theaters in 2027, will characters like Professor X, Rogue, and Storm be in this movie, and if so who will play them? MAJOR SPOILERS!!!
Honestly the movie Logan was supposed to be just a standalone spinoff, it has no connections at all to the other and previous X-Men movies.
X-Men: Future Past was the last X-Men movie from the official timeline.
So in Deadpool & Wolverine I guess Deadpool is just traveling around in so many different timelines that he just landed first in the Logan movie timeline.
Fortunately the crappy Logan movie is still basically irrelevant.
{Spoiler} I did some research and you're right, Logan is basically supposed to be a standalone movie. However, this movie breaks that.
It breaks it because Wolverine from Logan is the anchor for Deadpool's universe.
So, it appears they glossed over that part in this movie merh Please let us know what you think.

I think I tried Origins on TV but it was bad. Same with Days of Future Past. There was the other Wolverine I know I switched away from. My problem with Fox & Sony is they didn't give a damn. They had the typical Hollywood studio "ride it into the ground, we can just start over when we ruin it" like Sony did with Spidey. So I was fine with Logan being in Wade's universe. It reflects the care Fox had for the characters. They obviously had some XMen. We saw Colossus & Negasonic at the mansion. There was that room scene in the one Deadpool where the team was behind the door but I have no idea of the version. I didn't try to watch Logan. Wolverine was a cash cow the studio milked hard. I'm not sure we are going to see Jackman as Logan when they boot up the XMen. They very clearly established Wade isn't 616. Hell, the MCU wasn't the comic universe at one time. They designated it 199999 in 2008 So...whatever. I hoped we'd get a good Doom, but it doesn't look like it. Doom is THE bad guy of the Marvel Universe. He has screwed with just about every hero at some point so we fricken needed him. I don't even care about the F4. He isn't even a bad guy to be a bad guy. He does his stuff for his country or something like that so he has a motive So I'm cool with a younger Xmen team & F4 not being Tony Stark age. Get some actors they can run with for a decade or so.

SPOILER!
Obviously it's true. Did you pay any attention?
The Logan in Future Past has Adamantium, in Logan he has NOT at all. He only has bones.
It was a different Logan, and he was old there. The previous one doesn't get old. How the hell would that make any kind of sense?
And there's only there Professor Xavier, everyone else is death which is insanely stupid and illogical.
What about Logan from Logan's Run? Where does he fit in all of this? Logan's Run? What's that?
Is that a comic book?

Yes, just like shadowsoul. You are right in that I am a spinoff with no connection to the previous X-Men movies. But I would most certainly like to think that my ending will be epic, bombastic, and at TOILET LEVELS! You Sir just made your own day!

I mean, it's basically still its own Universe.
What I love about the Mutiverse is the infinite potential.

I just watched the entire thing on YouTube for free (before it gets inevitably nuked). Was it shite? It was alright but wouldnβt watch it again anytime soon. Couldnβt quite get on board with the unrealistic plot β so stupid anyway β but I guess they can be liberal with anything they need the audience to believe in these types of movies.

agree, but that is not what happens here at all. They clearly they Logan is from Deadpool's timeline That's not what happens at all as well. Deadpool is jumping around every timeline.
There's nothiing to assume they do belong to the same timeline.
But honestly it's not even very relevant. Logan was crap and irrelevant.

Whether it's good or not means nothing. Can you stop wasting time writing that please. He doesn't start to timeline jump until after he finds the dead skeleton of Logan. This is a fact.

Logan is crap, garbage and totally irrelevant. And this has everything about the fact it's an irrelevant movie.
Nah, they don't share the same timeline at all. Logan has ZERO of relevance.

The point is those are the 9 people Deadpool cares about so they have to live. He doesn't care about the other XMen so they could all die. It felt like this was a sendoff for the 20th Century Fox universe. It brings in heroes from those movies & as Elektra says, gives them an ending. I was more wondering how he could apply to Avengers. There haven't been Avengers in Deadpool's world. How did he get to 616 to apply?

I have seen the first Deadpool movie, and the WolvΓ·ne movie where he fights the Sabretooth villain, but very few of the other Marvel movies. Will I be lost watching this or does it stand alone as a film?

How did he get to 616 to apply? I can easily answer that question. Remember, early in this movie he mentions how he has Cable's time travel watch. With it he's able to travel to the 616. I think timline issues are important as this movie is key as we lead into bring Doom and the Fantastic 4 in the next year and a half.
