Democrats have talked about “Re-education camps” for Conservatives.
And Hilary said something about “Deprogramming.”

First article: “ Maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members. And sadly, so many of those extremists, those MAGA extremists, take their marching orders from Donald Trump, who has no credibility left by any measure. He’s only in it for himself.” She’s speaking facetiously and in frustration over the mindless obedience from those in the GOP who “still support the former president after the Jan. 6, 2021” comparing them to “members of a cult.” De-programming people from dangerous religious and political cults is not a new idea, if rarely done. However, this in no way implies Democrats are setting up camps as Alex Jones says.

The preferred nomenclature is "facilities".

Second article: She herself thinks the “re-education” word sounds threatening, but in her reply to the NR, she makes clear she is talking educating the voter better to “understand the process by which the state courts process matters, compared to the federal court circuit, and so forth.” This isn’t re-education camps, but actually “engag[ing] in widespread civics education” for all citizens. I agree that all voters need a better civics education. We have let that slide in our public education for several decades now. Not a bad idea. But I know how much you guys must have hated school, so it probably does sound sinister to you.

The preferred nomenclature is "facilities". Only on the Right. No, I approve of sending them to de-radicalization facilities. I feel we're past the point of hoping it gets better on its own and have to move on to the treatment stage.

I thought Obama was going to do that back in 2012?
I get that reboots and remakes are popular these days but he's really scrapping the barrel with this one.

My fellow Americans: I do not support the notion nor the need for “re-education camps” in a nation this prosperous, diverse, and talented. We need to better sell the idea of garnering critical thinking skills and lead by example! I believe in free thought, free expression, and free to be who you want to be. I believe in liberty, equality and justice for all As for the foes of a 21st century America, I say, kill them with kindness.

I’d be willing to pitch in to a kickstarter that sends Jones camping for a while. Get him out in the woods, away from cameras and those salty snacks. Some detox time.
Just him out there with the gay frogs…
