Wow! Leverkusen get a winner in 11th minute of injury time. Not something unknown to them as they did the same last year on a frequent basis!

Unfortunately, Sky have the BL here now, and I refuse to give them my money so have to make do with the occasional game on Youtube. I also watch 2nd and even the occasional 3rd division matches there, last night's Hannover-Hamburg game was pretty good. Leverkusen don't seem to be any weaker than last season, but it remains to be seen how they'll cope with the Champions League in addition to league and cup at home. It's a bit of a cliche, but that does seem to affect many clubs, especially those new to it.

Leverkusen’s Bundesliga unbeaten streak over.
Lost 3-2 at home to Leipzig having led 2-0.

Bayern-Leverkusen is on Sky's Youtube channel at 17.30 UK(RIP) time today. Unfortunately, I won't get to see it. The last time they met was an absolute masterclass of counterattacking by Leverkusen. This one may be different, but equally may not.

Köln-Karlsruher just about to start on Youtube.

Making broad generalisations is horrid, but Germans have fucking weird taste in music. Köln's theme song is an adaptation of Loch Lomond. So I'm supporting Karlsruher!

Mentioned it on here before I think. I’m not going to bother with that game. Dalkeith v Broxburn was my highlight of the long weekend!

I enjoyed the Dalkeith game, they looked ok given how far down the pyramid they are. East league is far stronger than the south, they'd slaughter my local boys. Broxburn were very good even if the scoreline flattered them slightly. Meanwhile in traffic-infested Köln, the home side lead 4-2 at HT! Some excellent goals, but neither defence is of the highest quality, it's fair to say.

I met one of their young fans passing through my town on the way to a game at Gretna a few weeks ago, he was very enthusiastic and optimistic for their progress. Your old dear is from Tranent, IIRC. I saw their local side hammer mine in a cup tie a few years ago. Both of those, and perhaps Linlithgow too, could make it into the league in the near future.

I didn’t know that guy Marvin Bartley had some involvement with Broxburn. He mentioned it on Friday.
