Coworkers just found him, I guess.
He made his last deposits at the bank.

You would think someone would have noticed before then. Because the dead body would start to stink of decomp within the first 12 hours.
Dead bodies one step away:
Seriously though, it isn't funny.

And what good is security if they cannot figure out a person has spent multiple days in an office building without carding out?

If a squirrel that has been dead in the garage for only 3 hours creates a stench that passes through brick walls. One could only imagine the stench a decaying human body would create after only 12 hours.
They will have to tear that building down and replace it because they will never get the decomp stench out of there after it has seeped into the walls, floor, and ceiling.
Mistakes like that can cost a company million of dollars just for the clean up. That doesn't even begin to cover the legal costs of such an incident and the bad reputation it creates.
It just isn't credible that nobody would notice the stench of a dead body even in an air conditioned building.

I can't believe that got past the office snitch. There's one in every office.

They knew he had died because he smelled worse than usual.

It is Wells Fargo. The difference between "death" and "working for Wells Fargo" is less clear than one might think.

When I was just out of college and working in a good job, I lived in my cubicle at work for a month.
I had bought a house but the former owners had renters that needed one more month to move out. I was reasonable about it - I knew they weren't going to do anything bad like refusing to leave. They paid the one month rent to me.
The lease on my rented apartment had run out so I had to move my stuff into storage for the month and I didn't have a month-to-month rental somewhere else so I decided to live in my cubicle. I brought a pillow.
I slept on armless chairs put into a row after taking a shower and changing clothes in the exercise room.
It all worked out. The renters left and I had an appointment for carpet cleaning on the day before my furniture was moved in.
I didn't think anyone at work knew I was living there. People stayed late at night at times so it wasn't unusual to see me around in the late evening.
On the day I went to stay in my new house, I left the office building with my pillow folded up under my left arm while waving to the reception desk people who were on my right side.
I guess they spotted the pillow because one of them called out, "Awwww - moving out?" :)
(I guess they knew I'd been there.) :)

There's a possibility that the office is mostly empty on most days, with the majority of employees working from home.

Fair point.
