Because no creature was prominently featured. Depends what you mean by prominently. As I remember it, there's a creature pursuing her throughout the movie, the one wanting to drag her to Hell, and it even appears in one scene where we see its shadow and shape. |

The only creature I remember in it was the goat that was possessed in a single scene and was not the focus of the film. I say it is a curse movie, not a creature movie. |

She's in a bedroom and there's a creature at her door and then what looks like the shadows of two long arms come in from under the door, extending across the floor. |

That movie looks good! And it has Carl Weathers there! Also Connie Selleca and Burl Ives! It was the movie of the week and played a lot in the late 70's/early 80's. It's one of those movies a lot of people remember seeing as kids but not the name. They remember the sea monster/giant turtle though. Isn't that supposed to be a horror movie?
And it was launched in theaters as well.
