Regardless of how you feel about Trump or Biden or any of the clowns in this circus, one thing I think both sides of the aisle can agree on is that the circus spends money on stupid shit. And it seems like the only time Democrats and Republicans can come together on Capitol Hill is when it's to agree to waste tax dollars. That's because I'm convinced most of the money used to fund these "studies" make their way back to congress via political donations. You might feel some kind of way about Elon and Vivek, but they won't have any power to actually shut anything down. But COME ON, Rand Paul has been doing a yearly grievance list of stupid things we spend money on, and this has to stop: www.hsgac.senate.gov/media/reps/dr-paul-releases-2023-festivus-report-on-government-waste/I'm sorry, why is Post Malone getting a handout? Russian cats and Barbie? It's past time this gets addressed, and I don't care who does it, be it Trump or whomever. He should put Rand on DOGE, though.

Half of NASA’s budget went to Elon Musk before he became Trump’s darling.
I’m all for cutting government waste, but start at the top, not the bottom. Big Agra doesn’t need farm subsidies.Cut out all corporate welfare. Stop bailing out the banks without forcing them to restructure and punishing the fraudsters. We can levy more taxes on the wealthy.

Firing up the war machine to kick some asses is not a waste of government funds. Especially in light of this afternoons events.
There is less than a month left to seriously kick Russia's ass, now is not the time to pretend not to be involved. The serious threat of nuclear war from Russia means that something has to be done about it now.
Can we have bipartisan agreement that the correct course of action is to get in there fast and hit Russia's military hard and get back out of there just as quickly. Almost before Putin even realizes what is going on.
Seriously, Texas has a greater GDP than the entire nation of Russia. Without a doubt the nuclear threat could be neutralized within a few minutes if done properly. Because of Russia's economic handicap they would not be recovering from such a strategic strike any time soon.

The Russian stuff was terminated after Russia invaded Ukraine /2023/apr/9/nih-cuts-funding-russian-lab-work-animal-experimen/So the point was spinal cord injuries. Sadly, cats are different enough from humans in most ways so research using cats is useless EXCEPT brain stuff so yeah, any research on cats usually involves electrodes to the brain. Here is the study pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33547397/As for Post Malone /lil-wayne-post-malone-accused-It was that Covid business thing that Trump's Administration pushed through to have no oversight which people warned was asking for trouble, but Trump's people insisted had to have no reviews before being granted. I remember feeling it was a scam to allow tax dollars to flow. Those Covid business funds went to a lot of shady businesses. A candidate who lost here got one There have been tons of those loans that were basically free money people could apply for & not have to repay.

No.
You and pals are untrustworthy hacks that only care about one thing - taking down Trump and regaining power. The only way forward is to beat the democrats soundly and repeatedly (in 2026, 2028 and beyond) while also fighting the swamp creatures in the republican party, to get things done. Democrats can't be reasoned with. They need to defeated so badly that they no longer can exist as a party. If they want to join MAGA, they are welcome.

You might feel some kind of way about Elon and Vivek, but they won't have any power to actually shut anything down. Maybe not, but it doesn't really matter. Trump just says to the people who do have the power "do what Elon and Vivek say".

The world can only change dramatically for the better when we stop asking stupid people on the internet what they think about anything. You might be an exception. I mean you might be smarter than hoi poloi. I don't know you.

You're the partisan hack, here. I have no interest in "taking down Trump." I didn't vote for him, but he's in, so I want to see the country succeed. I want that under every POTUS. I also want unity. And fortunately, it's looking more and more like Trump does, too. The Bondi pick for AG is promising. She seems sane, and he got rid of Gaetz pretty quick when he realized the Senate wasn't going to confirm him. There's hope yet for the next four years.

I have to admit, he might make a better president than Satan would. Sometimes the biggest problems are the ones you don't see.

Democrats had 4 years to do something or show the slightest bit of vision all they did was try to lock up trump and fund wars and wreck the border. They aren’t serious people. No unity no bipartisanship. They’re through. If you want to talk about how Elon Vivek Trump Rand and Ron can slash spending that’s awesome but democrats got shit to do with it.

Given that the Pentagon never passed an audit, that should be the priority.
But it won't because both parties are owned by the MIC.

Like it or not, dems still make up half the country and half the government. There has to be bipartisan work or nothing will get done. Dems and Reps need to stop acting like they can run the country one handed. All it does is slow any would-be progress down. It's been really bad since at least Obama. I doubt Trump will be the unity POTUS I want, but he did seem to mellow after almost getting shot in the head. He said after that he wanted to be everyone's President, not just the right's. Maybe he'll make good on that. Probably not, but one can hope. I give Kamala Harris credit for making an effort during her campaign. The thing is, an endorsement from the Cheney's was a bad way to illustrate her effort. Ugh. Dems lost the election because of that lack of vision. I am in total agreement with you. People are tired of the identity politics playbook and all the propaganda on all sides. Getting rid of some government waste would be a good place to start with change. If you think Trump will be able to do that without Democrat help, I don't know what to tell you. Unlike many on here, I'm not convinced Trump wants to be an actual dictator.

These Gee Whiz merchants dont actually tell you what a grant was for. If they didnt lie you would agree it was not waste. At every election I have ever participated in (since 1969) most politicians scream about reducing government waste. But they keep saying the same thing year after year. Surely eventually government services must get super efficient. Or maybe, like in the 20 years I was in the public service, most government workers are conscientious and skilled.

Yep: things like slicing and dicing the dept of edu budget excite me, it’s a massively bloated entity.
My excitement is tempered by the historic lack of plan and general chaos accompanying the emotionally-based or reality TV nature of this dude’s staffing ideas. It’s one big wait and see.

That's crazy. OfUnknownOrigins told me that his father took his bicycle away after he left it out in the rain ONCE. Obviously, that is total bullshit since OUO has no idea who is father actually is.
