They were about a million times better than Pearl Jam. Heart is the greatest Seattle band of all time. Seattle has produced some of the best rock bands in history. Must be the weather or something between Heart, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, etc. The “ Seattle sound” changed Rock and was the last great movement in rock music.

They were overrated, just like Pearl Jam.
The actual virtuoso songwriters of that generation were Billy Corgan and the DeLeo brothers.

I know she's a complete psycho, but I actually like Courtney Love's band Hole more, Live Through This and Celebrityskin I think are better than of Nirvana's albums

No. They were overrated and over-hyped.
I never got the fuss about their music.

Great music died when Cobain put the shotgun in his mouth. Yup it wasn’t long after that the Boy Bands and garbage like Limp Bizkit took over. There was a last gasp attempt in the early 2000s though but crap music won out. So fucking glad I seen them during the In Utero Tour. My brother was going to go but he was busy and said "oh well, I catch them on the next tour". I already have the "what if" of a ticket to Led Zepplins 1980 concert that never was

I like Toad the Wet Sprocket much more While Glen's writing isn't quite as brilliant as the aforementioned rock gods, TTWS is easily in my top 20 and Dulcinea is one of the 10 best albums ever made.

Mid-sized Macon, Georgia produced Little Richard, Otis Redding and the Allman Brothers

He's so filled with melancholy His solo stuff is pretty good, as well But it's cool he got the band back together and they still tour
It was another thread here yet again arguing about religion that made me chuckle about this, though.
Kurt seemed to agree about religion being the 'opiate of the masses'...........but then takes himself out after achieving what most people claim to aspire to be? Wealthy and famous? Maybe he was in need of a little, himself?

If you're asking me, everyone needs Jesus. I don't know so much about whether they need religion, but they need Jesus.

One of the two times I seen a performance on TV and said "what the fuck did I just see?" (Queen at Live Aid was the other)
