Do you prefer beautiful Gods and Goddesses of the Ancient Greece? The cold and dark grandeur of the Northmen? The poetry of the Irish legends? Something more exotic?

The Roman and Greek stuff is interesting (Jason and The Argonauts; Clash of The Titans, that kind of stuff), but my favourite, albeit fewer in the number of stories so maybe not a complete mythology, is Santa.

I like all of it too but I guess I have to favor the Greeks. Probably from the Hercules cartoon series, not to be confused with the animated movie but it spawned from there. Yeah Ive seen some of the live-action series too

Yes. And listen to him read it. How was the book? He makes the stories come alive. I’m assuming he sticks close to the stories as they were first written down, but a lot of the myths overlap in different text, so smooths them out and embellishes them. Overall, he captures how these stories may have been heard.

For years I have been meaning to dig deeper into various Celtic myths and their offshoots, must still get around to it. The obvious other myths apart, Some of the African "occult" beliefs such as Santeria/Obeah/Vodou/Hoodoo are interesting given the way they adapted to include Christian saints to hide themselves in plain sight from the religions that were forced upon the slaves who bought these African belief systems to other places.

The Wild Hunt kicks ass!

IMDB2.
And there's far less evidence of it than any of the world religions.

I actually know very little about Irish mythology, & I say this as someone who is of Irish descent on my mother's side (English on my father's).
