If this movie turns out to be successful and sets a trend of having multiple movies, then what other video games would you like to see turn into a popular movie franchise?
For me, I wouldn't mind seeing movies made about Donkey Kong Country, or movies made about the first three video games of Spyro the Dragon.

I hope it does well for no other reason than the bizarre insane dislike of Chris Pratt some people have.
Dude never said shit about gay people, Ellen Page made that up. And he never supported the "Three Percenters" either. All lies about a nice funny guy who never did anything to anyone.

I’d be interested in a realistic take on Zelda. Like make all those creatures look properly real.
For the longest time Twisted Metal would’ve been at the top but that’s actually getting a tv series adaptation.

^ A Zelda movie would probably come across like a movie which became a video game, over the other way around.

I guess I wouldn't mind seeing a movie made about Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, even though his video games didn't really leave a long lasting impression.

All made even more sad when he essentially renounced his Christianity in a recent interview just because you could tell all the hate was getting to him.

Let's be real, that old literal way of believing is dying off.

She baselessly said he goes to some notoriously anti-LGBTQRSTUV church:
He does not:
Then people started claiming he wore a 3 Percenters hat (right-wing group). The only sources of this are Reddit and Twitter. No real sources are cited.
Oh, and this is a 3 Percenters hat,
not what Chris was wearing:
Outright LIES spread about him.

I was just arguing with people today on Facebook about him. Claimed he gave to "charities" to are "torture camps" (I assume they mean conversion therapy). I said prove it. Nothing. It's all based on lies about him.

I saw it last night. I liked it! Lots of nods and homages to many of the games. Had some laughs too.It was a really good representation of the games. I haven't played a Mario game in years, but picked up on stuff. Fun little movie. Unrelated, John Leguizamo has lost his mind.

I was thinking about this over the weekend and….I don’t know what else is as generational as Mario.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Pokémon were the only things I could think of and they’ve gotten movies and stuff already.
Are any other game franchises as cross generational as Mario that hasn’t already been done like Sonic or Pokémon?

It is a success and is already profitable after less than a week. It is going to be huge.
The aftermath is that Disney can’t blame the post-pandemic climate for their string of failures. And the fact that the bogeyman for the left, Chris Pratt, is the star suggests that it’s time for the studios to stop listening to social media activists. Twitter activists are loud but they are few in number. Yet Disney is turning away audiences with their pursuit of their agenda.
Disney’s CEO had aspirations to run on a Democrat ticket for the POTUS. I’d suggest that the idea that Disney had an agenda is no longer as fanciful as it once was.
