Noah Hawley’s ALIEN TV Series Reveals Plot and Cast
The little bit we know of the plot sounds good for a TV show. More about The Company (and it's rivals) will play out better than mankind's origins (Prometheus and Covenant). I am definitely interested.

Anything would be better than Prometheus and Covenant that's not saying much. The plot sounds interesting and sort of like Blade Runner.

I like Covenant a lot more than Prometheus, but that storyline appears to be dead. The quest for mankind's origin just went nowhere. Ridley should have stuck with the original idea of the Prometheus being about the Space Jockies. David is fun to watch though. Absolute madman.

The movie overall is much more enjoyable to me than Prometheus. Prometheus isn't even scary.

If they treat this with respect, I’m open to it. I haven’t seen Fargo, but have heard good things. As to the AI aspect, that has always been fundamental to the Alien universe, especially in Alien, Prometheus and Covenant.
If this is good I’ll be very happy. Don’t fuck it up, Disney, you bastards.

Plus there were murals of the Deacon creature on the walls of the room where the liquid was. So that wasn’t created by David. But he did seem to create the xenomorph that we inow and I’m cool with that.

Queen lays eggs, eggs give birth to facehugger, who impregnate host and give birth to xenomorphs. But hey, throw some black gooo on someone and get the same thing. Ok. Plus, the murals actually show some form of facehugger:

From Noah Hawley:
"Look, a two-hour movie, you can set it up and then it's just about, 'Are they going to survive?' But if you're making a series, 'Are they going to survive?', you can't sustain it. Even if you have 60% of the best action-horror on television, you still have 40% of 'What are we talking about?'" Hawley explained. "What is this moment on Earth, technology-wise? And where are we? And the question science-fiction always tends to ask is, does humanity deserve to survive? So that seems like a really interesting question to continue to explore."

Has Blade Runner or Westworld TV series written all over it, in other words... Shit.

Noah Hawley has explained why he is not using the backstory provided in Prometheus for his upcoming Alien prequel series, saying he likes the "retro-futurism" of the original films.
