have a creepy-clown toy in your room when you were a kid?
Is that why you are so messed up today?

Catman was a teddy bear fan. I had a stuffed donkey, kinda like this. I was an early Democrat.

When I was a kid my sister had this doll. It had a rubber head with fake hair attached to a flimsy body made of stuffing so the torso and limbs would flop around.
Its face was ugly — my siblings and I used to bash it for fun. I’d wheel it around in a toy pram and pretend to be its mother and my brother and sister would pretend to be muggers and they’d snatch the baby from the pram and swing it around and bash its head against the walls and the floor and I’d be going “Nooo!! My baby!!” and ‘crying’ whilst stifling my laughter.
Wish we still had that ugly doll; I’d love to bash it senseless again. Fun times.

I used to have a stuffed toy shark when I was a kid, and once in a while I would hit my older brother with it until after a while it broke.
As a kid I was meaner than Hell, but I eventually grew out of it and as an adult learned to have sympathy or empathy with others. Having a window into what everyone around you is thinking all the time really can make you meaner than Hell.
Growing up with the ability to read minds and nobody to give you any guidance on how to use that ability can really suck depending on your attitude towards such a "gift" that you didn't ask for and can't get rid of.
You come to realize just how incredibly stupid some people are and it offends your personal sensibilities that you can't treat them as an equal. It really brings home what P.T. Barnum said as a harsh reality.

What was that in 2016 where there were just random clown sightings in the news all the time? That was really odd.

No clowns, but they don’t freak me out in and of themselves. Depends on the context.
Bought Poltergeist on BD a few weeks ago. Scared the bejesus out of my kids when they were younger. They haven’t seen it since so we are finally going to take a rewatch (now that they are in their 20’s lol).
Probably the creepiest thing is that those were actual skeletons in the swimming pool scene. Heard it really pissed off JoBeth Williams as they did not tell her prior.

What was that in 2016 where there were just random clown sightings in the news all the time? That was really odd. A bunch of people lying and faking clown sightings on youtube to get attention. It isn't a good idea to just let anyone become famous, you have to have the right temperament for it. Because once you get on that merry go round you can never step off of it again. It's a show that never ends until you are dead and even then public obsession often continues after that. Contrary to popular belief, being famous doesn't automatically make you rich. Although it would be very unfortunate for you if you end up famous without the wealth with which to properly protect yourself with. It is your responsibility to make the most of your fame in a way that will at least make you wealthy enough. You can't honestly shove that responsibility off onto anyone else and expect it to turn out well for you.
