Younger generations won't care given they probably never had a folding phone, but I loved 'em. Technology keeps moving. BBC

I had a folding phone in the mid-2000s, I think they were called clam phones. You just nudged the screen with your thumb and it flipped open like a Star Trek communicator. Like this, but the screen was black and white. Really convenient size:

Prefer the new folding ones that give a 7" display, they now seem to be the future. Loved my clamshell phone back in the day though.
