I chose the default 'confused' smiley on Hux's thread, and after I posted it, it came out as the 'kiss' smiley. I had to edit it out, because no damned way I would post a kiss smiley to Hux.
Why are they mislabeled?
Okay, I don't see that here, but I saw it on the thread when I tried to reply with the default smiley. How come there are no default smilies on this board?

Did you use a load of question marks? Because they get translated to a kiss. Here: ?? It's a proboards thing, so whine at them, not this board.

At some point, he overrode the default smileys with the IMDb-type emoticons he imported in a plugin; some of their coding overlaps like how three question marks is the IMDb kissing emote here. To use the IMDb smiley menu here, you can't be in a Quick Reply field. The menu will appear at the smiley button when you're replying through selecting Quote or by clicking the Reply button that's on the far right of the same blue bar that says Quick Reply on the left.
