This first Super Bowl of the new decade showcases two of the best young QBs in the NFL. Jimmy Garoppolo (whom Tom Brady forced New England to trade away because Brady was afraid that the younger and better Garoppolo would take his starting QB job) is 23-5 as a starter. Patrick Mahomes (who has started his postseason career with 11 TD passes, 2 TD runs, and zero INTs) is 27-8 as a starter.
Like Russell Wilson (who beat San Francisco once this season and came within inches of beating San Francisco a 2nd time this season), Mahomes has the ability to elude the pass rush and turn a negative play into a huge positive play. Andy Reid will move Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce around to create mismatches. Kansas City's speed on offense will be too much for San Francisco's defense and Kansas City will (as Hank Stram used to say) "keep matriculating the ball down the field".
Kansas City was supposed to play a Wild Card game and then travel to New England for the divisional playoffs, but New England crapped all over the bed in Week 17 against 5-11 Miami. Kansas City was supposed to travel to Baltimore for the AFC Championship Game, but Baltimore was upset by Tennessee. The stars appear to be aligning for Reid to win his 1st Super Bowl.
Prediction: Kansas City 38, San Francisco 27 MVP: Patrick Mahomes

I know nothing about Kansas but I used to like the 49ers when I was watching, so I'll cheer for them!
Who you supporting (if at all)?

KC Chiefs all the way👍
San Fran already has 5 trophies so as a Cowboy fan I course want them to lose.

Basically agree with your prediction, couldn't really even quibble with the score.
I think the most interesting question is whether the 49ers will be able to stick to a heavily run-oriented offense. If they fall behind, then they probably can't stay with it and the score will be high. If it stays close early and the Niners can control the ball and the clock, it will be lower scoring, but I still think the Chiefs win. Mahomes was a sick puppy in the championship game; I hope to see more of that action.
