You've got two factors working against such a thing:
1. Superheroes here are for children, which limits the audience and
2. 50% of parents are wet fart remain voters who despise the thought of anything that shows national pride or anything that shows Britain kicking the shit out of something due to (oh my god!) the crimes of the empire, which limits the audience even further.

"Superheroes here are for children," Can we get rid of the board then as I requested? Not supposed to be any children here.

Ancient Greece had myths of Hercules and Perseus and other great heroes, the UK has the legendary stories of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. In the US, superheroes are basically their form of mythology.

A key element of myths is people or creatures with magical powers. The ancient Greek myths had that. The Arthurian legends have that with Merlin. But the stories of the old west Cowboys and Indians don't have that so that's not really myth.
Superhero stories do have the element of magical powers. In the US, they're basically a form of mythology.

Brits favourite sci-fI is Doctor Who. Itβs cheap, crap, and PC. Says a lot about Britain.
