She's very good.
Only read Alias, Grace (very good) and currently halfway through The Handmaid's Tale (also very good).
I like her simplistic style and short chapters though her first person narration is similarly robotic for both books despite being first person.
I think reading her books is best described as having a Sunday dinner. Nothing too complicated and very satisfying.

Finished The Handmaid's Tale.
Very good.
Might watch the TV show for comparison.

Finished the Blind Assassin.
Very good. I've always thought Atwood's protagonists are very robotic and unreal as people though sometimes she gets away with this vapid blankness by making it about voiceless women (Alias Grace and The Handmaids Tale) but it can still be annoying.
She's a little better here (though the narrator Iris Chase is still predictable reserved). Didn't see the twist coming (if you can call it a twist) and enjoyed it overall (could probably have benefited from being shorter).

If you're aware of it going in, I should think so. It's actually a story within a story within a story. I wasn't so was confused by the first instance of it but after that, you get used to it. Atwood names each of the chapters of the book within the book "the blind assassin" so you know what you're getting and the sci-fi story within that (told by the man) is fairly easily followed.

Ta, this one's on my list.

Having had some time to digest it more, I'd say the book is rather disappointing over all. I was never bored though I was conscious of how long the book was. It also occurs to me that the ending was a slightly melodramatic climax to everything. We went from subtle intrigue to downright over-the-top madness, the likes of which you're more likely to see in an episode of midsummer murders.
I still have real issues with Atwood's blank robot characters too. I'm tempted to belive women don't think any interesting (and by interesting, I mean dirty) thoughts.
