No idea, written my Murdoch people though so would usually be very supportive. As there seems to be a refusal to have a Covid enquiry by the Government and with so many billions given to party friends without tendering and so many anti science moves made in 2020, there is no doubt that there should be some holding of Government to account. It is tax payer money after all and a fuck of a lot of it.

It is tax payer money after all and a fuck of a lot of it. The problem is that government tendering processes (even accelerated) take at least 2 months. If they do that, they will get a kicking for seeming to be doing nothing. (One can't eat cakes and have them.) I can understand the refusal right now - there's still work to be done to save lives and audits will simply take time away from that.

Oh, i think everyone accepts that it was an emergency and the usual tendering system had to be bypassed, just not that so many contracts should be given to Conservative Party friends and donors with no previous experience in the field whilst existing British companies with experience in PPE were ignored when urgently offering to help. Not sure how they or even you can justify that one.
