Vandals smash beehives, killing 500,000 bees www.latimes.com/food/sns-dailymeal-1865007-vandals-smash-beehives-kill-bees-wild-hill-honey-iowa-123017-20171230-story.htmlLittle factoid- the nearly all the honey that we have been buying for decades ( in most stores that you find for a few bucks in the plastic squeeze bear for example)is NOT honey-. Its corn syrup flavored like honey( there may be a couple of percent of real honey in it) We think we are putting something natural in our tea when we are sick and we were lied to. Alot of the honey we were getting was made cheaply from China. After finding this out 6 years ago- I now buy Raw unfiltered honey- with is the only TRUE honey left.Everything is fake or diluted And Raw unfiltered honey is good for you- antimicrobial, and it helps you fight allergies( since you ingest pollen with prevents people from reacting to pollen Bees have been dying for years in drove and nobody knows why. Without someone to pollinate our flowers we will have much less oxygen out there.or plants. Bee keepers like these are doing the world an amazing service. I was thinking about volunteering at my local beekeeper And these moronic vandals killed half a million of them in 1 fell swoop I hope these idiots dont want honey on their pancakes in the future- because they may be out of luck.

Sounds like a real life Beavis and Butt Head...
But then you get what you pay for, in more ways than one.
Right about the corn syrup, which will turn you into a diabetic fairly quickly. You can thank anti Cuba politics for the substitution of cane sugar for the much more deadly corn syrup.
See, politics does effect your day to day lives regardless if you realize it or not.

I saw this one the other day. Completely pointless.
Wiped out the keepers livelihood too.
Little punks.

There are reports over here about them dying out. Pesticides are the number one suspect. If your food was sprayed with killer substances, you'd probably die as well.

Raw honey is not some new sensation. I’ve been buying it for the longest time...

Its corn syrup flavored like honey( there may be a couple of percent of real honey in it) Sounds weird. Over here, honey is honey. It's illegal to label something as honey if it is not. If the UK wants to make a trade deal with the US post-Brexit, food standards are going to be one of the most contentious issues in that discussion.

More research is probably needed to determine what is causing the population explosion of wasps and to a lesser degree parasitic mites. Although man made global warming, or some other man made environmental factor is probably at least partially to blame.

This business about non-pure honey didn't sound right to me, so today I shopped the honey section at my store. I'm talking Walmart, here, not Whole Foods, and I literally could not find a single bottle that was labeled as anything other that pure honey. List of ingredients: honey. That's all. Some were unfiltered, some were raw, but not one bottle I could find had corn sweeteners or fillers in it. This is a store where all the poor people shop, and all honey sold there is honey. I'm sorry, but I'm calling bullshit.
Now, on a side note, if you go to a fast food place that sells biscuits, like Popeye's, they give you little ketchup size packets of something that is labeled "Honey Sauce" or "Honey Flavored Sauce", and that is all garbage and industrial gunk - I wouldn't feed that to a rat.
