China is becoming more and more westernized everyday. North Korea is run by a brutal dictator that is the scourge of the world. And that who lives in paranoid fear of the rest of the world every second. And --- who is at risk of assassination from inside and outside his country. North Korea is the exception. Not the rule. Most people in North Korea cannot afford a computer, a smartphone, or the Internet. So you accept that it is easy to block internet traffic and telco signals? Good, we are making progress. Ever heard of the Great Firewall of China? It's not a myth, one of my clients has to deal with it every day. NK has 5 million mobile phones (in a population of 25 million). Only a select few (government owned) can receive traffic. All others are internal only. Only if you agree the reality is somewhere between your opinion and mine. Sure global social media is more restricted in some countries than others. But complete blackout is hard to achieve.

"Believe me, Kim Jung-un's days are numbered. That is no way to run a country. Whatever goes around, comes around. I would not want to be Kim Jung-un."
Internal revolution or externally overthrown? I think the former. The current stand-off will fizzle out to a status quo and nothing will happen till the former occurs in the next 5 years. I think both. He is getting it from both sides. Even China is giving him a hard time.

In these types of country, there is usually only 1 of each - state-owned - dead easy to control.

By your own admission, with the exception of China and North Korea, all other non-democratic countries are suffering from outside information due to social media. So apparently, it is not that easy.

The arab spring. LOLOLOLOL You live in your own little world DrTokyo. You rarely have anything constructive to contribute to the conversation. You usually have nothing more than snide, facetious, critical, ridiculing comments that only clarify how stupid and isolated you are. Notice how most people don't even bother to respond to your posts? More bullsht from you. I do believe most of your responses are people laughing at you. As for worthwhile posts, your cut and past BS is worthless...just like you and the arab spring. LOLOLOLOLOL

There was no communism in the USSR. The freakin' name of the country defined itself as socialist. Curiously run, however, by the Communist Party. Very strange. The name was chosen as a misdirection. Communism is stateless. Go thunb through Marx. When the Democrats are running the US, do they represent the ideal of Democracy? When Labour runs the UK, do they represent the highest ideals of helping the working person with their policies? You can name a party anything you want. The USSR was a centralized Socialist totalitarian state. Communism would be stateless communes (hence the word communism)that might or might not decide to work together.

LOLOLOLOLOL Based on your posts, you don't seem to really understand what other people are thinking or feeling. Because most people don't talk with you. They don't respond to your posts. As a matter of fact, other than Flying Monkeys and me, nobody else really talks with you. And I only do it out of sympathy. Flying Monkeys talks with everybody. You are kind of like a more intelligent and focused Madmike. I will be honest, you are more intelligent and focused than Madmike. But still, nobody agrees with your opinions. And most people don't want to waste their time talking with you. I cannot help but get this impression that you --- just like Madmike --- you are a loner in real life. Because your opinions and positions are so radically different than anybody else's. And your tone is usually ridiculing or critical. Like you feel everybody else is so dumb, it is a burden for you to put up with others (arrogance, narcissism). Last but not least, just like Madmike, obviously, you are not happy. Most loners aren't.

The name was chosen as a misdirection. Probably more to do with their historic background because they had communism prior to the USSR (if my memory of Russian history serves me correctly...)

Movieliker, do you not understand why DrTokyo mocks you for mentioning the so-called "Arab Spring" in the same thought with your projected future of repressive Islamic governments being swept away by the winds of change?
Because that is ludicrous and it undermines any validity your post might have....
