Yet we are moving away from self efficiency with our trade deals undercutting British farmers/manufacturing due to standards being lower. This was always the fear with leaving the EU trading agreements. Even our steel manufacturing has gone to foreign owners. Pfft, we were never heading for self-sufficiency in the EU. Trying to turn this into your usual Brexit bashing is certainly giving you some nice Christmas morning stretching exercises, but all it is down to is the will of our politicians - and it isn't there. Not heading, but maintaining some, now that is going. Farming will be decimated and food self sufficiency is heading to an all time low. You either want self sufficiency as you claim in a post above, or you give in to low standards and force our own people out of business as post Brexit trade deals are doing. You can't have both unless you insist foreign countries have to meet the same standards as our suppliers do and the Conservatives as we have already seen with Australia are not prepared to do that. It's not anti Brexit, I am pro Brexit, it's about our own manufacturers not being forced out of business by allowing their competitors a huge financial advantage. You need to stop the blinkered view that every single aspect of Brexit is just fantastic, this part is a mistake and damages our own self interests.
