He has a very valid reason for apologising, though - he didn't realise the level of anti-semitism.

Article "Labour’s David Lammy apologises for nominating Jeremy Corbyn to be leader" Fucking Blairite. Well the "left" wanted there to be someone who wasn't "Torylite" standing and the result showed that overwhelmingly the members wanted a choice at a general election between the right and left. However, come 2019, you had a one policy election and a Labour party leader who was also pro Brexit up against the new Guardian style lefties who mistakenly believe that "remaining" was a left wing policy which it never had been. Plus now you have a Conservative and Labour party with very little difference between them to the extent that Starmer's leadership is just embarrassing and he is more likely to vote with the Government than half the Tory backbenchers are. Whatever your politics are, it works best when there are lines between parties and effective opposition and the UK hasn't had that in a long time.

Well, it's playing to the balcony and all genuine anti Semites should be kicked out of the Labour party after providing evidence. I think what a lot of people are worried about is how the smear of accusations of anti-Semitism is being used to get rid of critics of Israel's illegal behaviour which is a genuine worry. Someone needs to ask I guess if it has become the case that anti-Zionism is now in effect anti-Semitism, because that viewpoint is certainly now being either forced of self imposed on Labour politics.

Yeah but what about Lammy's apology? Well, it's playing to the balcony Seemed more genuine to me. Most of what he said in the article made sense, and I very rarely agree with him. That's a shame given that so many in Labour have conflated any disagreement with minorities as racism. A real shame. Oh well, live by a sword...

Article "Labour’s David Lammy apologises for nominating Jeremy Corbyn to be leader" Fucking Blairite. Well yes, but most likely Lardy (along with Starmer) has realised that if Labour is ever going to form a government, it has to move to the centre, which means Blairism.
Lammy's problem is that in his constituency of Tottenham he is king, but outside he just another fat dick.So if he is going after Sir Keir's job, then he has make a play for the middle ground. I doubt that he will make it. He has a genius for saying things that will get him cheered to the echo in Hackney and make him look a total c*nt anywhere else. Still, Dave may be a rubbish politician, but he is a great addition to the gaiety of the nation
