More than 125,000 people were caught taking part in illegal gatherings during the pandemic – including an 82-year-old gran.
Figures obtained by the Sunday Mail show 973 arrests were made and 17,000 fixed penalty notices issued, totalling just over £1million.
A further 939 people were issued with the £60 on-the-spot fines for breaching lockdown travel regulations.
The figures cover the period from March 2020 to October 25 last year.
