I hadn't seen that video in decades when I happened across it before this post. I did notice that she (Dale Bozzio) has a pretty similar GaGa vibe going on there several years before Lady GaGa was born. Not just in her outfits, she kinda looks like her, too. Lot's of commenters on YouTube make the same point. Vocally, Miss Bozzio is not in the same league (I think LGG is very talented), but you could definitely make the case for being an influence. Back in the day, Dale Bozzio's claim to fame, beyond being a singer in a medium-level pop group, was that she had posed nude in Playboy, which in the Eighties was still a bit of a shocker since there was no internet and you couldn't just find actual sex videos of every other pop star in existence any time you wanted. |
